Ardhantara to inject renewable energy assets into Futura Energi Global
Indonesia’s Ardhantara Group, the new controlling shareholder of PT Futura Energi Global (FUTR), plans to inject renewable energy assets into the publicly listed energy firm, including the Gunung Slamet geothermal project currently being developed by its subsidiary PT Sejahtera Alam Energy (SAE).
PT Futura Energi Global (FUTR), formerly known as PT Lini Imaji Kreasi Ekosistem, was established in 2021. It is a diversified holding company specializing in renewable energy, carbon offsets, and environmentally friendly industrial solutions. Through its subsidiaries, the company has shifted its business focus from the creative sector to renewable and green energy.
Shares of FUTR, which are currently on the special monitoring board under full call auction status, jumped 10 percent to Rp605 on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Over the past three months, the stock has surged by 830.77 percent.
“The new controlling shareholder, Ardhantara, is a holding company in the energy sector and plans to inject renewable-based assets such as the Gunung Slamet geothermal project through its subsidiary SAE, as well as several other assets still under preparation,” Futura Energi Global President Director, Tonny Agus Mulyantono, said in a public disclosure on Thursday, October 8, 2025.
Tonny added that Ardhantara intends to carry out a rights issue, through which renewable energy assets will be injected as part of FUTR’s subsidiaries.
He said a feasibility study on the new and renewable energy (NRE) business is currently being prepared jointly by FUTR and Ardhantara. The results will be presented during a shareholders’ meeting (RUPS) that will also discuss a change in business activities and the planned rights issue, targeted for implementation in 2026.
Through Futura Energi Global, Tonny said, Ardhantara aims to transform the company into an internationally recognized renewable energy enterprise.
Regarding the Gunung Slamet geothermal concession, Ardhantara, through its subsidiary, has entered the active exploration phase, including geosurveys, initial drilling, and construction of key access infrastructure, with an initial investment of more than US$85 million (Rp1.5 trillion).
Ardhantara officially became FUTR’s new controlling shareholder after acquiring 45 percent, or 2.99 billion shares, from PT Digital Futurama Global at Rp11 per share on September 9, 2025.
Tonny also noted that Ardhantara is currently preparing a mandatory tender offer (MTO) submission to Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK).
