The Indonesian Fintech Association (AFTECH) will host the Indonesia Digital Bank Summit (IDBS) 2025 on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Raffles Hotel in Jakarta.

The event will serve as a strategic platform uniting regulators, financial services industry players, academics, and other stakeholders to discuss innovation, policy, and collaboration aimed at strengthening secure, inclusive, and globally competitive digital banking services.

Carrying the theme “Securing Economic Growth: Trusted Digital Finance as an Enabler of an Inclusive Economy”, IDBS 2025 will focus on fortifying the security of digital banking transactions as a foundation for public trust.

This trust is seen as a key driver in expanding access to digital banking, fostering collaboration between banks and other digital financial service providers, advancing financial inclusion, and accelerating growth in the real sector.

The agenda will cover enhancing data protection, mitigating cybercrime risks, and improving governance across Indonesia’s digital banking ecosystem. The summit will begin with the launch of the Indonesia Merdeka dari Scam (Indonesia Free from Scam) national campaign, held in collaboration with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) as chair of the Anti-Illegal Business Activity (SATGAS PASTI) task force, through the Indonesia Anti Scam Center (IASC).

This initiative reflects the joint commitment of regulators and industry to combat digital fraud, strengthen consumer protection, and ensure the safe and competitive growth of Indonesia’s digital banking sector.

"Digital banking security is key to building trust, expanding financial access, and driving growth in the real sector. The Indonesia Digital Bank Summit (IDBS) 2025 reaffirms AFTECH’s commitment to strengthening the security of digital services as an enabler of an inclusive and sustainable economy," Pandu Sjahrir, Chairman of AFTECH, said as quoted in a statement on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Pandu added that the conference will address priority policy directions and strategies to optimize the role of the digital financial sector, while also exploring technological innovations in cybersecurity resilience, digital fraud prevention, and risk management.

"These innovations are crucial to building a more secure, robust, and adaptive digital financial ecosystem capable of meeting future challenges," he said.

Now in its second year, IDBS 2025 will feature more than five interactive panel discussions with leading speakers from regulators, banking, fintech, and the wider technology ecosystem.

The event will also showcase 20 innovation booths from banks, fintech companies, technology providers, media, and industry associations, presenting cutting-edge solutions and opportunities for strategic partnerships.

As part of its program, IDBS will host a Cybersecurity Workshop in collaboration with the Indonesian Association for Digital and Cybersecurity (ADIGSI). Open to IT professionals from the banking sector and other digital financial services, the workshop will address key cybersecurity challenges and risk mitigation strategies.

With an expected attendance of over 500 professionals from banking, fintech, and digital finance, IDBS 2025 aims to broaden industry knowledge, strengthen strategic networks, and enhance the role of digital banking in driving equitable and sustainable national economic growth.
