The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, appointed two senior officials in a ceremony held at the Chairul Saleh Building, ESDM Ministry headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Appointed Officials:

Rilke Jeffri Huwae holds advanced academic qualifications in law and has extensive experience in regulatory and investment governance. Prior to his appointment, he served as Expert Staff at the Ministry of Investment, focusing on downstream policy and priority investment sectors. He holds bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in law, with a research focus on legal enforcement in strategic industries.

Ma’mun is a senior law enforcement officer with a background in economic and financial crimes investigation. He holds a Bachelor of Police Science (S.I.K.) and a Master's degree (M.Si.), and has completed numerous strategic trainings related to law enforcement and anti-corruption.

“This inauguration is part of our broader effort to ensure that the Directorate General of Law Enforcement is led by professionals with integrity and competence,” Sunindyo Suryo Herdadi, ESDM Spokesman, said.

“Dr. Rilke’s experience in downstream investment policy and Ma’mun’s expertise in criminal enforcement will strengthen legal oversight and regulatory compliance in the national energy sector,” he added.

The Directorate General of Law Enforcement is tasked with overseeing legal compliance in the energy sector, including oil and gas, minerals, and renewable energy. The directorate investigates violations, coordinates with relevant enforcement bodies, and provides the legal framework for further administrative and judicial actions.

With the new appointments, the Ministry aims to enhance enforcement effectiveness, regulatory transparency, and overall governance in the energy sector from upstream to downstream.
