PT Xinfung Industry Indonesia, a subsidiary of China’s Jiangsu Xinfang Technology Group, has begun construction of its new manufacturing facility in the Subang Smartpolitan industrial area.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, marks the company’s strategic expansion into Indonesia with a projected initial investment of US$30 million (Rp493 billion).
“In the future, the investment value for the second and third phases may reach up to three times the initial investment,” James Chen, General Manager of Jiangsu Xinfang Technology Group, said on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
The new factory will focus on the production of dyed fibers, tops, and luxury fancy yarn made from natural and sustainable fibers. The first phase of development will cover 4 hectares of area and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, with full production operations set to begin by February 2026.
Chen emphasized that the expansion into Indonesia aligns with the company's vision to strengthen its supply chain across Southeast Asia and to serve as a bridge in enhancing cultural understanding and business relations between China and Indonesia.
Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Zhangjiagang, part of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province, the parent company is a well-established player in the global textile industry.
The decision to invest in Indonesia was driven by the country’s abundant labor force, stable business environment, supportive culture, and strong potential for innovation.
“We foresee Indonesia becoming a key manufacturing hub in the near future,” Chen added.
All production from the Subang plant will be exported to Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam, China, Thailand, and other countries with demand for high-quality textile products.
The plant's strategic location in Subang Smartpolitan offers significant logistical advantages, with easy access to major infrastructure including the Trans-Java Toll Road, Patimban Port, and Kertajati International Airport. This is expected to enhance the company’s production efficiency, streamline logistics, and facilitate export activities.
