State energy company PT Pertamina and PT Pertamina Pedeve Indonesia as shareholders of PT Pelita Air Service have decided to confirm Dendy Kurniawan as President Director of Pelita Air for the second term.
This decision is stated in the Circular Shareholders' Decision of PT Pelita Air Service, in accordance with the provisions of Article 10 Paragraph 5 of the Company's Articles of Association concerning the Reappointment of Members of the Board of Directors. Dendy is considered by shareholders to have demonstrated visionary and effective leadership in directing the transformation of Pelita Air.
Under his leadership, Pelita Air has become a scheduled airline with superior service standards, and has recorded positive operational and financial performance.
"I would like to express my gratitude for the trust given by the shareholders, as well as my appreciation for the full support from all Pelita Air Officers," Dendy said on Monday, April 21, 2025.
Meanwhile, throughout 2024, Pelita Air recorded significant operational achievements. The airline managed to transport up to 2.7 million passengers and the number of flights experienced a 97 percent increase, reaching 18,796 flights, with a total transport capacity of 3.3 million seats.
This achievement reflects the effectiveness of the expansion and service improvement strategy that has been implemented consistently in strengthening national connectivity.
Dendy Kurniawan is also considered successful in bringing Pelita Air to grow as an airline that prioritizes reliability and professionalism. Consistency in maintaining the level of punctuality (on-time performance/OTP) makes it a trusted choice for the public because it is able to provide certainty and comfort in every flight.
Service innovation continues to be developed, including the implementation of a self-service entertainment system that allows passengers to enjoy content directly from personal devices through free Wi-Fi connectivity during the flight.
From an operational perspective, Dendy Kurniawan has also made Pelita Air switch to a more efficient and environmentally friendly flight concept through the implementation of electronic flight bag technology that replaces the use of paper with tablet computer devices.
This implementation has succeeded in gaining recognition from NavBlue, a subsidiary of Airbus and also reflects Pelita Air's strong commitment to implementing integrated digital technology, as well as contributing positively to the progress of the national aviation industry.
Pertamina Vice President for Corporate Communication, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, said shareholders continue to be optimistic that Pelita Air will grow as a national airline that is adaptive, competitive and loved by the public.
