President Prabowo inaugurates 31 new Indonesian ambassadors

President Prabowo Subianto has inaugurated 31 Ambassadors at the State Palace in Jakarta, Monday, March 24, 2025.

The inauguration was attended by the Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Leaders of the House of Representatives’ Foreign Political Affairs Commission I Budisatrio Djiwandono, Dave Laksono and Anton Sukartono.

The inauguration began with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, followed by the reading of Presidential Decrees (Keppres) No. 25B/2025 and No. 40B/2025 and the oath-taking session of the new ambassadors.

The ambassadors’ representative then signed the minutes. Of the 31 ambassadors, there were several familiar names such as former House member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Junimart Girsang, former Constitutional Court (MK) Justice Manahan Sitompol, former Air Force Chief of Staff Air Chief Marshal (ret.) Yuyu Sutisna.

The 31 ambassadors are:

  1. Penny Dewi Herasati as Ambassador to Hungary;
  2. Siti Ruhaini Dzuhayatin as Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, concurrently the Republic of Kyrgyzstan;
  3. Dicky Komar as Ambassador to the Republic of Lebanon;
  4. Agus Priyono as Ambassador to the Republic of Suriname, concurrently the Cooperative Republic of Guyana;
  5. Andreano Erwin as Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia, concurrently Montenegro;
  6. Hersindaru Arwityo Ibnu Wiwoho Wahyutomo as Ambassador to the Republic of Finland, concurrently the Republic of Estonia;
  7. Yayan Ganda Hayat Mulyana as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, concurrently the Republic of Latvia;
  8. Fikry Cassidy as Ambassador to Bolivarian Venezuela, concurrently to the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobango;
  9. Hendra Halim as Ambassador to the Republic of Panama, concurrently to the Republic of Honduras, the Republic of Costa Rica, and the Republic of Nicaragua;
  10. Tyas Baskoro Her Witjaksono Adji as Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya, concurrently to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of Urganda, the United Nation Environmental Programme (UNEP), and the United Nation Human Settlement Programme (UN-HABITAT);
  11. Mirza Nurhidayat as Ambassador to the Republic of Namibia, concurrently to the Republic of Angola;
  12. Ardian Wicaksono as Ambassador to the Republic of Senegal, concurrently serving the Republic of Cabo Verde, the Republic of Gambia, the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, the Republic of Mali, the Republic of Ivory Coast, and the Republic of Sierra Leone;
  13. Siti Nugraha Mauludiah as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, concurrently serving the Republic of Lithuania;
  14. Junimart Girsang as Ambassador to the Republic of Italy, concurrently serving the Republic of Malta, the Republic of San Marino, the Republic of Cyprus, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund and Agriculture Development (IFAD), the World Food Programme (WFP), and the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT);
  15. Cecep Herawan as Ambassador to the Republic of Korea;
  16. Agung Cahaya Sumirat as Ambassador to the Republic of Cameroon, concurrently serving the Republic of Chad, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, the Republic of Gabon, the Republic of the Congo, and the Central African Republic;
  17. Chandra Warsenanto Sukotjo as Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan;
  18. Listiana Operananta as Ambassador to the Republic of Bulgaria concurrently to the Republic of Albania and the Republic of North Macedonia;
  19. Manahan M. P. Sitompul as Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina;
  20. Rolliansyah Soemirat as Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran concurrently to Turkmenistan;
  21. Artika Candra Negara as Ambassador to the Republic of Mozambique concurrently to the Republic of Malawi;
  22. Bambang Suharto as Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria concurrently to the Republic of Benin, the Republic of Burkina Faso, the Republic of Ghana, the Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Liberia, the Republic of Niger, the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, the Republic of Togo, and ECOWAS;
  23. Muhsin Syihab as Ambassador to Canada concurrently to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO);
  24. Simon Djatmoko Irwantoro Soekarno as Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba concurrently to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, the Republic of Haiti, and Jamaica;
  25. Susi Marleny Bachsin as Ambassador to the Republic of Portugal;
  26. Air Chief Marshal (ret.) Yuyu Sutisna as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco concurrently to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania;
  27. Arief Hidayat as Ambassador to the Republic of Zimbabwe, concurrently to the Republic of Zambia;
  28. Didik Eko Pujianto as Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq;
  29. Rina Prihtyasmiarsi as Ambassador to the Czech Republic;
  30. Vedi Kurnia Buana as Ambassador to the Republic of Chile;
  31. Faizal Chery Sidharta as Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, concurrently to the Republic of Djibouti, the State of Eritrea, and the African Union.
