The government has converted three State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in work consultancy  respectively into PT Agrinas Jaladri Nusantara, PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara and PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara along with capital injection of Rp8 trillion (US$485.5 million) prepared by the Ministry of Finance.

"There is something below the line in the State Budget (APBN), namely financing for investment. We have prepared financing for investment in the APBN up to Rp8 trillion," Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Previously, Deputy Minister of Finance Thomas Djiwandono spoke at the monthly APBN KiTA press conference on March 13, 2025 that the government has expanded the business fields of three SOEs from work consultants to specific SOEs operating in the fisheries, plantations, and food sectors respectively.

The three SOEs were originally named Virama Karya, Yodya Karya and Indra Karya. This business change is in line with the policy of President Prabowo Subianto to realize food self-sufficiency, energy self-sufficiency and water self-sufficiency.

The Ministry of SOEs will submit Agrinas' proposal to the Ministry of Finance for further process. Previously, the Finance Ministry ensured that it would inject state capital participation for three Sate-owned conctruction firms (BUMN Karya), which is expected to provide business change benefits.

"To increase its capacity, the government plans to allocate additional PMN (State Capital Participation) to PT Agrinas Jaladri Nusantara, PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, and PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara," Thomas said.

In addition to receiving PMN injections, one of the three Agrinas has obtained 221 thousand hectares (ha) of confiscated land from the Attorney General's Office (AGO). The AGO confiscated the land during the corruption investigation in the palm oil plantation of PT Duta Palma Group.
