Prabowo

President Prabowo Subianto has revealed his intention to build a prison for corruptors, which will be built on an isolated island.

Prabowo believes that no developed country practices corruption as corrupt practices will only lead a country to destruction.

"We will look for an island, if they (corruptors) come out, they will meet (the) sharks," Prabowo said on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

Prabowo asserted that he is ready to die in fighting corruption and corruptors. He admitted that he is not afraid because he feels protected by the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the National Police (Polri).

"They (corruptors) should understand that I am ready to die for this nation and country. I am not afraid of any mafia," he said.

Previously, Prabowo had given corruptors a chance to repent as long as they returned their stolen goods to the state. The opportunity was given within a few weeks and months without mentioning a specific time.

"If you return what you stole, maybe we will forgive you. But, return it. Later we will give you a chance to return it," Prabowo said on Wednesday, December 18, 2025.
