The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) said that the main investment priority of the Nusantara Energy Management Agency (BPI Danantara) is projects related to oil and gas (migas).
Therefore, projects other than oil and gas, such as new and renewable energy (EBT) infrastructure, are not yet the main priority of the Danantara program in the near future.
Director of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Eniya Listiani Dewi, said that according to the direction of the Minister of ESDM, the program that will be accelerated first through Danantara is Oil and Gas.
"Because we are short of gas, this is to accelerate the implementation of the Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) and the transition period, there must be a lot of gas," Eniya said on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Currently, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is looking for several renewable energy projects that can be submitted to receive investment from the Danantara program.
"We are still identifying what we want to propose specifically for renewable energy, yesterday's direction from the Minister means phase 2," she said.
The government also continues to strive to increase the use of low-carbon fuels, such as the development of fuel oil mixed with vegetable oil, as well as bioavtur.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of ESDM is still identifying the value and investors who will build green power generation infrastructure, such as Hydroelectric Power Plants (PLTA) and Geothermal Power Plants (PLTP).
"We are currently identifying, for example, whether there are any investors (who are interested). We are asking questions and are discussing PLTP and PLTA," she concluded.
