Mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals (BRMS), through its subsidiary PT Citra Palu Minerals (CPM), has appointed Macmahon Indonesia as the underground mining contractor for its Poboya Gold Project in Palu, Central Sulawesi.

Macmahon, a subsidiary of Macmahon Holdings Limited, an Australia Stock Exchange (ASX)-listed company, will provide underground mining development and operational services at the project. The contract includes drilling, loading, hauling, equipment maintenance, and mine services support.

BRMS President Director & CEO, Agus Projosasmito, said that the company has been collaborating with Macmahon on its open-pit mining activities in Poboya since last year. This new agreement extends their partnership into underground mining operations.

“We are currently expanding the services provided by Macmahon to include both surface and underground mining operations in the same area. We hope that our collaboration with Macmahon as a reputable mining contractor will support the monetization of the underground gold mine project in Poboya,” Agus said in a statement as quoted on Monday, March 10, 2025.

The project is expected to significantly boost BRMS' gold production capacity and efficiency, strengthening its position in Indonesia’s mining industry.
