A new airline, PT Indonesia Airlines Group (INA), a subsidiary of Calypte Holding Pte. Ltd., will soon start operating in Indonesia, with base at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, and only serving international flights.

"Indonesia Airlines will only focus on international flights," Indonesia Airlines CEO, Iskandar, said in a media statemement as quoted on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Calypte Holding Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-based company engaged in the renewable energy, aviation, and agriculture sectors. Before launching Indonesia Airlines, the company already had a 2,500 megawatt solar power plant business in Indonesia.

According to Iskandar, the launch of Indonesia Airlines has gone through a comprehensive feasibility study involving aviation consultants from Singapore and the United States. In the initial stage, the airline will operate a fleet of 20 aircraft that will be brought in gradually.

The fleet consists of 10 narrow-body aircraft, namely the Airbus A321neo or A321LR, and 10 wide-body aircraft, namely the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-9.

Indonesia Airlines targets to become a scheduled commercial airline with premium services.

"A new era of luxury with a private jet experience on commercial flights,"Iskandar said.
