Changan Auto set to enter Indonesian market in partnership with Indomobil

Changan Auto Southeast Asia, the automotive giant from China, will soon enter the Indonesian market through local distributor, Indomobil Group.
Changan Auto or Changan Automobile Co Ltd (CCAG) is a Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer headquartered in Jiangbei, Chongqing, its origins traced back since 1862. Changan is one of the automotive giants from China that managed to record sales of more than 2.6 million units globally in 2024.
Meanwhile, Indomobil currently distributes dozens of automotive brands and has more than 300 dealer networks throughout Indonesia.
The signing of the distributor agreement was carried out between Andrew Nasuri, Director of PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional and Chou Qing, Vice President of Changan Auto Southeast Asia, on Friday, February 21, 2025.
"With our extensive experience in the automotive industry and strong distribution network, we are committed to providing quality and reliable vehicles for the people of Indonesia," Andrew said on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
Changan plans further expansion in the domestic market, including exploring the possibility of local assembly of cars. In addition, the company is targeting not only passenger vehicles segment, but also those of commercial vehicles.
