Mohammed Ali Berawi, Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation at the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority has tendered his resignation from his position, which he had held since October 13, 2022.
The resignation letter was sent on Wednesday, February 7, 2025 to Basuki Hadimuljono, Head of the IKN Authority. This letter was submitted through a request to return the assignment to his original institution, the School of Engineering at the University of Indonesia (FTUI).
"Hopefully the administration for the Presidential Decree of IKN development will run well and smoothly," Ali said as quoted by Katadata.co.id, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
He hopes that all master plans, blueprints, and guidelines that have been prepared and disseminated to the public in building the IKN can continue to be implemented.
This implementation is carried out by prioritizing five main principles, namely IKN as a green, resilient, sustainable, inclusive and smart city.
"We will continue to build the ecosystem, build a better future for Indonesia. IKN is not just building a project. Therefore, commitment, consistency, and sustainability are very important to implement," he said.
Troy Pantouw, Spokesperson for the IKN Authority/Special Staff to the Head of IKN Authority for Public Communications, said that Ali is currently still carrying out his duties and responsibilities at the IKN.
"In accordance with the direction of the Head of IKN Authority, we can convey that reassignment to the original institution that assigned a person is commonplace if the original institution needs it," Troy said.
