Lion Air has announced the transfer of all its domestic flight operations at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport − both departures and arrivals − from Terminal 2A to Terminal 1A starting December 14, 2024.

Lion Group's Corporate Communications Strategic, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, explained that this step aims to improve operational efficiency and customer comfort. 

"This decision was taken to support service improvements and provide a more practical and enjoyable travel experience for customers," Lion Group's Corporate Communications Strategic Division Head, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, told a press conference at the Lion Air Office on Thursday, December 5, 2024. 

He added, however, that although domestic flights are moved to Terminal 1A, Lion Air's international flights will still be served at Terminal 2F. 

He said Terminal 1A has now been updated with various modern facilities to facilitate access and improve passenger comfort. 

To prepare for the trip, Lion Air urges customers to ensure the terminal location, recheck the flight schedule, and manage time carefully 

Lion Air also reminds passengers with connecting flights to carefully manage their travel schedules. 

"Make sure to choose a schedule that provides enough time to move betweem terminals so that the trip runs smoothly," Danang said. 

With this relocation, Lion Air hopes to improve the customer's air travel experience while supporting more optimal airport operational management. 

“BookCabin” application 

On the occasion, Danang also appealed to Lion Air customers to use the BookCabin application, an Online Travel Agent (OTA) under the auspices of the Lion Air Group. 

This service is designed to provide direct assistance to customers at various major airports in Indonesia to facilitate people's travel. 

BookCabin is an integrated platform for booking airline tickets, hotels, travel packages, and online check-in services. 

Head of Communications of BookCabin, Deasy Rasjid, said that this service is expected to add a comfortable and efficient travel experience for customers.
