RSAF chief gives a lecture to Seskoau student officers

Chief of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), Major General Kelvin Van, gave a lecture to 61st Class student officers of the Indonesian Air Force’s Staff and Command School (Seskoau) at the command headquarters in Lembang, West Java, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

In his lecture session, General Kelvin raised and discussed various important issues related to security and international relations, including fragmentation and evolving security threats as well as the role of the RSAF and the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) in humanitarian assistance operations.

He also highlighted the importance of dealing with non-conventional threats through regional cooperation and emphasized Indonesia's active role in ASEAN.

General Kelvin praised the strong relationship between Singapore and Indonesia, as well as close relationship of both countries’ air forces.

"I hope that you are here as future leaders. I sincerely hope that all of you will continue to build strong friendships with RSAF officers, so that we can bring Air Force friendship to a higher level,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal M. Tonny Harjono, expressed his gratitude for General Kelvin’s presence at Seskoau.

“It is an honor for us to welcome you here in Seskoau, Lembang. We hope that this visit will further strengthen the already close relationship between the two air forces,” Tonny said.
