The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) under the leadership of Chairman Anindya Bakrie has appointed two prominent young entrepreneurs, Raffi Ahmad and Clarissa Tanoesoedibjo, to key positions within its organizational structure.

"We are bringing in figures who have innovative ideas and understand the interests of the younger generation. This is part of Kadin’s effort to take bold steps forward," Bobby Gafur Umar, Kadi Deputy Chairperson for Investment, Downstreaming, and Environment, told a press conference at Menara Kadin in Jakarta on Monday, October 7, 2024.

Raffi Ahmad, owner of RANS Entertainment, which operates across eight industries including film and sports, will serve as Deputy Chairmperson for Creative Industries. Meanwhile, Clarissa Tanoesoedibjo, daughter of media tycoon Hary Tanoesoedibjo and Director of Vision+, has been appointed Deputy Chairperson for Communications and Information.

Raffi expressed his commitment to fostering collaboration between the government and business sectors, aiming to bridge public interests with government goals under the upcoming administration. He indicated that Kadin's future programs in the creative industry would be announced after the official inauguration.

"After the swearing-in ceremony, we will conduct internal discussions and finalize our work programs soon," Raffi said on Monday 7, 2024.

In addition to these appointments, Arsjad Rasjid, the Kadin Chairman based on Presidential Decree No. 18/2022, has been named Chairman of the Advisory Board.

However, Anindya Bakrie refrained from providing further details on Arsjad's role, stating it was outside the scope of the day's discussions.

Anindya noted that the current structure is only 50 percent complete, with the full organizational setup to be finalized following the inauguration of Prabowo Subianto as President for the 2024-2029 term.

Mulyadi Jayabaya, a member of the 2024 Kadin Extraordinary Congress (Munaslub) Formation Committee, explained that Arsjad’s appointment was a gesture of respect from Anindya, who had previously served in the same advisory role under Arsjad’s leadership.

The move is also aimed at eliminating any perceptions of dual leadership within the organization, even though the Kadin leadership resulting from the 2024 Munaslub has not yet been officially recognized.

"There is only one Kadin, and it is led by pak Anindya," Mulyadi said on Monday, October 7, 2024, addressing the issue of potential internal division.
