The shareholders’ meeting of PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), a subsidiary of State oil and gas company PT Pertamina, has appointed Muhammad Resa as the company’s Director of Risk Management, with the aim of enabling the company to pursue aggressive growth while maintaining a strong focus on risk management.

PIS CEO Yoki Firnandi said that Muhammad Resa's appointment is expected to bolster the company's business growth significantly, enhancing the capacity and quality of PIS’s performance. Eventually, it is expected to reinforce the company’s pivotal role in Indonesia's energy distribution and support its business expansion in the global maritime industry.

"Our vision is to become the global leader in shipping and logistics. To achieve this, our business should be innovative and expansive while maintaining rigorous risk management practices to ensure sustainable business growth," Yoki said on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

The inauguration of the new director took place at Grha Pertamina in Jakarta, and was attended by Nicke Widyawati, President Director of PT Pertamina; Erry Sugiharto, Pertamina’s Director of Human Capital, and Ahmad Siddik Badruddin, Pertamina’s Director of Risk Management.

Muhammad Resa's appointment as the newest director of PIS is attributed to his experience as Managing Director of PIS Asia Pacific (PIS AP) since May 2023. PIS AP, a subsidiary of PIS founded in 2018, has emerged as a key contributor to the company's non-captive market revenue, which continues to grow annually. Presently, PIS Asia Pacific operates branch offices in Singapore and Dubai.
