Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources initiates leadership reshuffle appointing 4 new officials

Arifin Tasrif, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) began to reshuffle the highest leadership in the Ministry with 4 new officials appointed on July 31, 2023.

First, Bambang Suswantono, who was appointed as the Inspector General (Irjen) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, was previously a retired Inspector General of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI).

Second, Yudo Dwinanda Priaadi who was appointed Director General (Dirjen) of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) and previously served as Expert Staff for Strategic Planning at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Third, Dadan Kusdiana was appointed Secretary General (Sekjen), previously serving as Director General of EBTKE at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Meanwhile, Akhmad Syakhroza became Expert Staff for Natural Resource Economics, previously serving as Inspector General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Arifin hopes that the newly appointed officials will not abuse their authority as officials, because the ministry is facing quite a heavy burden.

He asked Bambang to always maintain and carry out internal supervision within the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the use of the Ministry's budget.

Meanwhile, Bambang was asked to apply good risk management, in order to minimize the potential for failure of the established program, as well as resolve legal cases at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

In addition, Dadan was asked to coordinate, embrace and strengthen internal consolidation.

Meanwhile, Yudo was asked to guard Indonesia's interests in international forums in order to gain access to clean energy technology and low-cost funding in implementing the energy transition.
