Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, announced plans for a joint venture between Danareksa and Perhutani to manage a 2 million-hectare area in Merauke, South Papua province. This venture aims to replicate successful models seen in other regions like Batang, Central Java province.

By integrating state-owned enterprises, such as PTPN and Pertamina, the initiative seeks to create synergies that drive economic growth while addressing environmental challenges.
The appointment of Minister Bahlil Lahadalia as the head of the Acceleration Task Force underscores the government's commitment to achieving sugar and bioethanol self-sufficiency targets, as outlined in Presidential Regulation No. 40/2023.
