Nestlé Indonesia has signed a collaboration agreement with Foodbank of Indonesia (FOI) at its headquarters, reinforcing its commitment to actively contribute to consumer health.

The collaboration involves the renewal of their partnership through the "Dapur Mustikarasa" (Mustikarasa Kitchen) food donation program starting in 2024. Nestlé, present in Indonesia for over 50 years, aims to create shared value by benefiting individuals, families, communities, and the environment.

The "Dapur Mustikarasa" program by FOI focuses on providing breakfast at early childhood education centers (PAUD) or elementary schools, encouraging teachers and parents to introduce healthy meals to children.

The initiative promotes a healthy breakfast routine to create a healthier and more resilient generation for the future. The program, targeting 100 schools, will run twice a week for six months.

Since 2020, Nestlé has proudly contributed to providing food access through its partnership with FOI, aligning with Nestlé's values of Creating Shared Value (CSV).

The FOI survey in 2022 revealed that 27 percent of children go to school on empty stomach, reaching 40-50 percent in densely populated urban areas. FOI's primary focus is to ensure food access for school children.

FOI Founder, Wida Septarina Wijayanti, expressed appreciation for Nestlé Indonesia's strategic partnership since 2020 in addressing food inequality in society.

The collaboration aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 2, aiming to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.

Samer Chedid, President Director of Nestlé Indonesia, stated that Nestlé believes access to healthy and nutritious food is a fundamental right for every individual.

The partnership with FOI allows the company to reach more communities, especially Indonesian children, providing high-quality and nutritious food.
