The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Ario Bimo Nandito Ariotedjo, also known as Dito Ariotedjo, has been accused of receiving Rp27 billion fund from corruption of the BTS BAKTI Kominfo project. The disbursement of the tens of billions of money occurred between November and December 2022.

In relation to this accusation, Dito himself stated that he will provide clarification by complying to the summons delivered by the Attorney General's Office in Jakarta. He will be examined as a witness in relation to the corruption case.

"That will be part of the examination (regarding the alleged fund flow of Rp27 billion)," said Ketut Sumedana, the Head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung), at the Kejagung Office in Jakarta on Monday, July 3, 2023.

Dito will provide clarification

Prior to his visit to the Attorney General Office, Dito explained that the examination is related to the accusation of his involvement in the corruption case of the 4G Base Transceiver Station (BTS) of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) from 2020 to 2022.

"I will give a statement so that the information is not vague. We will, God willing, be present at the Attorney General's Office this afternoon," said Dito Ariotedjo in the area of Istana Negara, Central Jakarta, on Monday, July 3, 2023.

Dito stated that he has never known or received any funds related to the BTS Kominfo project as accused.

"That's why I am glad to be able to come to the Attorney General's Office because last week I was in Berlin, so I didn't have the chance to come and it was immediately a long weekend, a national holiday, so today is the official forum and I think it's a very good momentum for everyone," said Dito Ariotedjo.

Following his arrival at the Attorney General's Office, Dito did not say much to the press.

Examined as a witness

Meanwhile, the Head of the Information and Legal Affairs Center of the Attorney General's Office, I Ketut Sumedana, stated that Dito was summoned to clarify Irwan Hermawan's statement regarding the alleged fund flow in the corruption case of the 4G Base Transceiver Station (BTS) project by the Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (Bakti) of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo).

"He [Dito] will be examined as a witness first," said Ketut at the Attorney General's Office Building, Indonesia, on Monday, July 3, 2023.
