PT Akasha Wira International Tbk, the producer of bottled mineral water Nestle Pure Life and Vica Royal as well as Makarizo hair products, will relocate its cosmetics factory from Pulo Gadung in East Jakarta to Gunung Putri in Bogor to increase its production capacity.

Akasha President Director Wihardjo Hadiseputro revealed that the company had to relocate the factory due to the land status of leasing.

“It is not feasible to expand the factory in the Pulo Gadung area. Therefore, we use our internal fund for investment, automation and capital [in the new plant],” he said in a virtual public expose on July 6, 2022.

The company has prepared a capital expenditure (Capex) of IDR100 billion for 2022. In the first quarter this year, the company has absorbed IDR10 billion.

Akasha has further plans to focus on developing bottled water, personal care and a new line of food and beverages.

“In one or two years, we will still be working on it because there is still a lot of potentials,” said Hadiseputro, adding that the company will launch new products but did not explain further.

Akasha has recently increased its equity because it has been decided that the shares were not to be distributed as dividends. The company’s profit in fiscal year 2021 was at IDR265.758 billion and was used as retained earnings for the company’s equity.

Akasha has targeted a 15% in profit and sales. In 2021, net sales reached IDR935 billion, an increase from 2020’s of IDR673.4 billion. Its operating profit reached IDR162 billion in 2020 whereas in 2021 it reached IDR328.2 billion.
