Prabowo meets Founder of UAE’s Emaar Properties

Jakarta − Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir, met with Founder of Emaar Properties, a property entrepreneur of the United Arab Emirates and owner of the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa, Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar, in Jakarta on Monday, May 27, 2024.

“He (Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar) expressed a great desire to develop our tourism and believes that our tourism can increase tremendously,” Prabowo told the media after the meeting.

He also quoted Alabbar who expressed confidence that he could help increase Indonesia’s tourism by 200-300 percent.

“This is very important and good for our economic growth, as well as creating jobs,” Prabowo said.

Previously, Prabowo and Alabbar visited the future Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan and the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Sanur, Bali.
