The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, in combination with the declining economy of the United States, have impacted the global economy.

With Russia being the largest oil producing country in Europe, one of the most apparent impact is the increasing of the world’s oil and gas prices. Meanwhile, the uncertain economic condition of the United States have affected Indonesia’s economy.

In an effort to anticipate further declining impacts, Chairwoman of the 15th Indonesia HR Summit Mira Tripuspita, stated that every professional workers in Indonesia must have a good sense of crises. Mira explained that this sense of crisis will enable professionals to make the right decisions.

“A good sense of crisis is considered lacking in professional workers or human resources in various institutions, either in the governmental or private sector. Employees only work as they told to without providing added value to the institution,” Mira said in a written statement.

Mira added that during the Covid-19 pandemic Indonesian President Joko Widodo often stated that Indonesian leaders are lacking sense of crisis. Jokowi added that if leaders had possessed a good sense of crises, Covid-19 can be mitigated or even averted. Mira further explained that a good sense of crisis will allow a professional to anticipate factors that can threaten the institution, and present a good analysis and advise for the institution.

The IHRS 2023 event will be held on June 20, 2023, in Nusa Dua Bali. The event will present ways on how a professional can develop a good sense of crisis and how to develop their respective institution.
