The Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration has maintained its commitment to continue the development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) although the portion of the State Budget (APBN) will be reduced in line with the State’s financial condition.

“I emphasize that President Prabowo’s commitment to the IKN is no lower than President Jokowi’s (Joko Widodo) commitment,” Spokesman for the Presidential Communications Office, Dedek Prayudi, said in Bandung, West Java on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Currently, the government is still conducting a visit to the IKN at the end of December 2024 to see the infrastructure development visit in the region.

“There is no slowdown (in the development of the IKN), there is none. There is only the development of the IKN, which was previously 100 percent of the APBN, over time the proportion of the APBN must be reduced,” he said.

He said that currently domestic and foreign investors have seen the seriousness of the government in developing the IKN. Investment for the IKN continues, it’s just not being echoed too much.

He denied that the national strategic project (PSN) in the Joko “Jokowi” Widodo era had been removed since President Prabowo’s leadership. According to him, currently what is more emphasized is the best fast result program (PHTC) consisting of 8 priorities.

“In Pak Prabowo’s era, it was not a national strategic project, but what existed was PHTC and there were eight of them that focused on HR. (PSN) was not removed, it was just not reveberated, because everyone has their own signature, right,” he said.
