BI strengthens leadership with new appointments for organizational transformation

Governor of the Indonesian Central Bank (BI) Perry Warjiyo inaugurated on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 new leaders for various units at the Bank’s Head Office and Representative Offices.

The appointments are part of BI’s ongoing organizational transformation and human resource development efforts aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the central bank’s operations.

“The leadership appointments at Bank Indonesia are part of our efforts to transform the organization and its human resources, with the goal of strengthening the effectiveness of BI’s duties,” Perry said.

He added that these new leadership positions are integral to achieving BI’s vision and mission of becoming a leading digital central bank with strong governance that makes a tangible contribution to Indonesia’s national economy, while positioning BI among the best in emerging markets.

Emerging markets are countries experiencing rapid economic development, industrialization, and increased integration with global markets, with the aim of advancing to developed nation status.

A total of 28 new leaders were appointed, covering key departments and representative offices across Indonesia. Among the prominent appointments are:

  • Head of Currency Management Department: Muh. Anwar Bashori;
  • Head of Payment System Department: Farida Peranginangin;

  • Head of Macroprudential Surveillance, Monetary, and Market Department: Malis Naini Sri Meyyanti;
  • Head of Office Asset Management Department: Arlyana Abubakar;
  • Head of BI Representative Office in North Sumatra: Rudy Brando Hutabarat;
  • Head of BI Representative Office in Central Java: Ibrahim;
  • Head of Risk Management Department: Giri Koorniaharta P;
  • Head of BI Institute: Clarita Ligaya Iskandar;
  • Head of BI Representative Office in Riau Islands: Roby Widijarto;
  • Head of BI Representative Office in Yogyakarta: Sri Darmadi Sudibyo;
