The Netherlands has approved a grant in the amount of EUR 105 million, equivalent to around IDR 1.7 trillion.

The announcement was made during the visit of Hanke Bruins Slot, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands, on October 31, 2023.

The investment grant is part of a collaborative program totaling EUR 300 million, facilitated through Invest International, a funding mechanism of the Dutch government.

Bruins Slot stated that the program may also involve loans from the Netherlands and is intended to support sustainable and inclusive public projects in sectors where Dutch expertise can make a difference.

These sectors include climate and energy, agriculture and food, health, water, and infrastructure. Moreover, there is a shared commitment to address deforestation and work with Indonesia to promote sustainability in the palm oil sector.

During her visit to Indonesia, Minister Bruins Slot held discussions with Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BSSN, focusing on enhancing cooperation in the field of cyberspace.
