A quarterly publication of the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) issued in London on May 14, 2024, has included PT Chandra Asri Pacific (Chandra Asri Group) in its Global Standard Indexes for Emerging Markets. The inclusion of Chandra Asri Group will be implemented as of the market close of May 31, 2024.
The inclusion in the MSCI index highlights Chandra Asri Group's consistent performance, robust market capitalization, and strong liquidity, aligning with MSCI's stringent inclusion criteria.
MSCI recognized Chandra Asri Group's impressive market capitalization and adjusted free float market capitalization, which met the index thresholds. This acknowledgment reinforces Chandra Asri Group's position as a key player in the global chemical and infrastructure industries.
"We are honored to be listed in the MSCI Global Standard Indexes," Andre Khor, CFO of Chandra Asri Group,said on May 16, 2024.
"This recognition underscores our commitment to delivering sustainable value to our shareholders and validates our status as a leading entity in the chemical and infrastructure sectors, known for operational excellence and a strong market presence," he added.
Khor cited that this inclusion is expected to enhance the company's visibility among global institutional investors, increase liquidity, and potentially reduce capital costs.
"For our current investors, this addition affirms Chandra Asri Group's solid market position and governance practices," he said.
