Agung Wicaksono, Deputy for Financing and Investment at OIKN, revealed that as of January 2024, they have received a total of 345 Letters of Intent submitted by potential investors.

 "The total number of LoIs is indeed very high, reaching 345 in total," said Agung while addressing a Media Briefing on Tuesday.

He emphasized that the figure was an increased by 10 letters compared to the data at the end of December 2023. Agung claimed that the investment momentum in IKN remains unaffected by the 2024 General Election.

"I don’t think it’s slowing down. In the last media briefing, LoIs were recorded at 330, and now it's 345, so it will continue to increase," Agung said.

Agung further explained that, specifically for this year, they will process LoIs for projects to be built in the Core Government Center (KIPP) 1A around the National Axis are.

"KIPP 1A around the National Axis is needed to accommodate [the relocation] of the government apparatuses which will begin in this year and for the [celebration of Indonesian Independence Day] on August 17 in IKN," he added.

On Wednesday, OIKN, together with President Joko Widodo is set to initiate the groundbreaking for 10 new projects in IKN. These projects involve various entities, including both public and private sectors, covering areas such as hotels, logistics warehouses, authority offices, and green open spaces.

In addition to the groundbreaking ceremony, President Jokowi is scheduled to inspect several projects that have already been developed in IKN. The progress report indicates that the completion of Phase 1 of IKN's development has reached 70 percent.
