The United States Armed Forces have sent their main armament system and equipment that will be used in the 2024 Super Garuda Shield joint multinational military exercise, scheduled for August 26-September 5, 2024.
Transported by the U.S.-flagged MV Cape Husdon, a number of military vehicles were unloaded from the combat logistics ship, including combat and transport helicopters, that was docked at Tanjung Wangi Pier, Banyuwangi, East Java, on Monday, August 12, 2024.
Commander of the Banyuwangi Naval Base, Lieutenant Colonel Hafidz, said that the naval base is ready to support the 2024 Super Garuda Shield joint multinational military exercise that will be held from August 26 until September 5, 2024.
“In order to help secure the military equipment of participating countries and support the joint military exercise, we (Banyuwangi naval base personnel) cooperate with Marine Security Patrol ships and personnel in securing the Tanjung Wangi Pier area from day one until the end of the military exercise,” Hafidz said.
